Cascade injection is a form of sequential valve gating operation in mould during injection. In certain hot runner molding applications, optimum part filling is achieved using a valve gate controller to open each individual valve gates in a staggered sequence, thus creating a cascade progression of the melt's flow in order to fill the mold cavity. Cascade fill method is primarily used to create high quality plastic parts without weld lines, for large area components even clamp tonnage can be reduced. SMI offers Cascade Injection (Sequence valve gating) optional interface for our injection moulding machine.
Upgradation of machine with energy saving servo power pack
Over the years, it has been observed that in many application segments, usage of servo power pack in place of conventional induction system power pack reduces energy consumption significantly. There are cases where the power saving by servo is even upto 50% .
Now this solution of servo power pack can also be retro- fitted in old machines at field.
